Legion’s Governmental, Industrial & Environmental Claims Support services provide expert oversight for complex losses. As an example, in southern Louisiana, our team conducted detailed inspections for a parish school system, documenting damage assessments for homes, classrooms and administrative buildings impacted by hurricanes in 2020 and 2021, ensuring precise evaluations that considered both storm damage and long-term wear.
Building on this success, Legion was later engaged by a local university to assess damage across dormitories, classrooms, and stadiums, supporting their FEMA grant application. Most recently, after Hurricane Ida, Legion performed Substantial Damage Determinations for over 30,000 flood-prone properties, using FEMA’s SDE Tool 3.0 to expedite ICC processing by distinguishing between wind and water damage—facilitating faster recovery for affected communities. Our full-time Adjuster Resources Department at Legion works 12 months a year, recruiting experienced field adjusters who are fluent in Xactimate and in damage assessment, which makes them a valuable resource to governmental entities and contractors seeking disaster recovery damage assessment in the field.
