It is Legion Claim’s goal to deliver high quality customer service to our clients and their insureds by handling all of their claims promptly and efficiently from the moment of receipt through final submission to the client for review and approval. The purpose of this course on best claims practices and estimating guidelines is to provide our claims staff and independent adjusters with an example of an overview of the general principles and guidelines for receiving, investigating, evaluating, documenting, and communicating property claims. This course was established to provide a consistent methodology for learning to handle property and casualty claims. Our goal is to provide high quality customer service and accurate damage estimates for our client’s insureds in their time of need. The application of any information contained in this course will depend on specific facts, circumstances, and laws as related to the specific claim and/or damages in question.  Each and every claim must be considered and handled on its own merit, in concert with these guidelines and practices. This course is not intended to be a set of mandated or all-inclusive rules and/or procedures but to instead provide a broad overview of claims handling guidelines based on common construction techniques as well as standards and principles generally accepted within the industry. This course is not intended to supersede any local, state, or federal law or statute.  In the event of a conflict, the local, state, or federal mandate should be followed at all times. The adjuster should be familiar with and able to access all applicable local, state, and federal claims handling guidelines and procedures as required by law. The guidelines described in this course may differ for each individual claim depending upon that claims unique facts and circumstances. Adjusters should handle every claim as unique, unto itself, and evaluating each claim on its own merit.

In the Haag Certified Inspector - Commercial Roofs program, you’ll learn to assess damage to all major types of commercial (low-slope and flat) roofing systems. You’ll become well versed in inspection safety, roof area calculations, codes and industry standards, and weather characteristics. For each roofing type discussed, instructors profile manufacture, installation, weathering, hail damage, wind damage, maintenance, mechanical damage, and repair costs. The course covers built-up roofing, polymer-modified bitumen roofing, thermoplastic single-ply roofs (PVC and TPO), thermoset plastic single-ply roofs (EPDM, CSPE, PIB), SPF roofing, metal roofing, vegetated (green) roofing, low-slope roofing components, and roof coatings. Case studies illustrate real-world inspection scenarios

The Haag Certified Inspector - Residential Roofs program is designed to make you highly proficient with all major types of residential (steep-slope) roofs. You’ll learn how hail and wind interact with roofing, inspection safety techniques, roof area calculations, and applicable codes. You’ll also gain comprehensive understanding of manufacture, installation, weathering, hail damage, wind damage, maintenance, mechanical damage, and repair costs for each major roofing type — composition, wood shingle/shake, concrete and clay tile, asbestos, fiber cement, and various synthetic, slate, and metal roofing types. Real-world case studies make the information vivid and memorable.
