Legion Government Team was called upon to perform onsite inspections of a parish school system, located in southern Louisiana.
This involved complete interior and exterior of the school system classrooms, storage and utility buildings and administrative buildings. The task was preparing percentage loss evaluations documentation of damage resulting from weather and everyday wear after several hurricane events through the area in 2020 and 2021.
The Legion Team was called upon again to inspect all buildings of a local university. The buildings located throughout the immediate New Orleans and surrounding communities.
The inspections were inclusive of dormitory rooms, classrooms, sports stadium and all administrative buildings. The results of the inspections in an effort to aid the University Authorities with their assistance request to FEMA Grant Programs.
Most recently, as a result of Hurricane Ida, Legion Government Team performed parish wide Substantial Damage Determinations, utilizing FEMA’s SDE Tool 3.0, of all properties located in special flood hazard areas.
With resulting reports differentiating and determining types of damage resulting from wind verses water in an effort to expedite FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program ICC Process.
In a matter of a couple months, performing thorough onsite inspections of over 30,000 properties.

*COVID-19 Response – In 2020 and throughout 2021, Legion has been called upon by state unemployment insurance departments to provide temporary call center and UI Claims Adjudication services and has successfully adjudicated hundreds of thousands of unemployment claims and issues. For insurance carriers, we have also vetted volumes of insurance claims for pandemic-related business interruption claims made by policyholders.
Hurricane Ida caused major damage to properties all along the gulf coast resulting in several insurance carriers going insolvent due to high claim loss demands. Legion was awarded by the state and Louisiana Guaranty Association, the contract to provide all TPA (Third Party Administrator) Services as management and complete oversite of the insolvency process.
Legion Team duties include complete intake of FNOL, call center staffing and operations, desk examination, file review, field resources oversite, and financial disbursements in excess of over 25,000 claims.
